Entertainment for The Blade’s 35th annual Northwest Ohio Rib Off will feature classics to current hits, and rock to country tunes, and it all takes place this summer at the Lucas County Fairgrounds in Maumee, Ohio from August 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th!
Presented by Taylor Automotive Family and Buckeye Broadband, featured performers at this year’s Rib Off will be Morris Day, Michael McDonald, and, back by popular demand, Lee Brice.
On Saturday, August 18, Lee Brice returns to perform some of his biggest hits. Brice’s hit song “Boy,” is currently ranked 19th on Billboard’s Top 100 Hot Country songs.
Brice’s 2014 album, “I Don’t Dance,” debuted at No.1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. At the 2015 Academy of Country Music Awards, he won Single Record of the Year as both artist and producer of the album, while the song, “Drinking Class” went No.1 and was certified gold. Brice wrote “More Than A Memory,” a No.1 song for Garth Brooks, and has had many of his songs picked by established artists like Jason Aldean and Tim McGraw. Brice’s 2009 debut album, “Love Like Crazy,” saw the title track reach No.3 on the Billboard Country chart and set a record as the longest-charting song in its history. In 2012, his album “Hard 2 Love,” featured three No.1 country singles, including “I Drive Your Truck,” which won Song of the Year at both the CMA and ACM Awards.
As always, plenty of mouth-watering ribs will be on display from pit masters both locally and from afar. The event is part of the National Barbecue Cookers Association. All NBCA members are certified Food Safety Professionals.
Tickets for the Northwest Ohio Rib Off concerts will be available beginning April 13 at etix.com, the Stranahan Box Office, all Tireman locations, and the three Buckeye Broadband stores, in Toledo, Oregon and Perrysburg.
